This secluded corner of a large garden offers its owner sunset views over Keeper Hill. I chose Laurel as a deep green background to show off the strong white verticals of Silver Birches from a distance. With a one-off arbour seat underneath them, they offer the owner dappled shade in the daytime. Varied pastel colours in succession planting give a long season of interest, from December-flowering hellebores, to Autumn Dahlias.
